Modern Slavery Statement

At Peartree Cleaning Services, we are committed to upholding human rights, treating people fairly and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking across our business and supply chain.

As an independent, family-run business, we believe everyone deserves to work in a safe and respectful environment, free from exploitation, coercion and forced labour. These principles are fundamental to how we operate and the standards we expect from those we work with.

Our commitment

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are committed to complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and all other applicable legislation.

Our Modern Slavery Policy applies to everyone working for or on behalf of Peartree, including employees, contractors, suppliers and business partners.

We take appropriate steps to identify, assess and manage potential risks within our operations and supply chain. Our approach includes:

  • Responsible employment practices: Promoting fair treatment, safe working conditions and respect for the rights and wellbeing of our employees.

  • Training and awareness: Helping our cleaning teams, supervisors, managers and employees involved in recruitment and procurement recognise and report potential signs of exploitation.

  • Responsible supply chain management: Expecting our suppliers, subcontractors and business partners to uphold ethical employment practices and comply with relevant legislation.

  • Reporting and accountability: Encouraging employees and business partners to raise concerns, with procedures in place to investigate and address suspected breaches.

  • Protection from retaliation: Ensuring individuals can raise genuine concerns in good faith without fear of retaliation.

Governance and continuous improvement

Preventing modern slavery is a shared responsibility across Peartree, supported by our Board of Directors and senior management team.

We review our Modern Slavery Policy annually and take reasonable and proportionate steps to strengthen our approach in response to changes in legislation, business operations and emerging risks.

We remain committed to operating responsibly, protecting the rights of our people and working with our suppliers and partners to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.
