Selfridges & Co. is a high-end department store operating in the United Kingdom and founded by Harry Gordon Selfridge in 1908. The flagship store on London's Oxford Street is the second largest shop in the UK and opened 15 March 1909. Other Selfridges stores opened in the Trafford Centre (1998), Exchange Square (2002) in Manchester, and in the Bullring in Birmingham (2003).
Voted the World's Best Department store, Selfridges is a luxury shopping experience home to both affordable and premium brands. From fashion, beauty, jewellery, home & technology. No one visit to Selfridges is ever alike, with bespoke instore installations and events.
Each store must be immaculately clean prior to opening for the day and maintained to that same stand until the store closes, usually, 10-12 hours later, 7 days a week.
We are Selfridges supplier of choice at Trafford Centre and Exchange Square in Manchester, and in the Bullring in Birmingham. Selfridges requires a completing fluid cleaning services that can flex around peak trading times, events and Masterplan works. The cleaning standards must reflect the luxury brands and enhance the customer experience. The services are required 363 days a year.
Selfridges are investing heavily in their Masterplan works and this often means that extensive and intrusive building works are carried out whilst the store is open.
The key to our success has been the implementation of in-store Management teams working throughout the trading times and cleaning window. We provide a Housekeeping team to maintain the sales floors and welfare facilities throughout trading times. Our personnel have excellent communication skills, coupled with customer care training to ensure visitors receive a premium experience.
As a premium retailer, our client also has limited shutdown periods to carry out routine maintenance and deep cleaning to the store. Selfridges are open to the public 363 days per year and therefore periodic and deep cleaning tasks must be carefully scheduled. We provide a full range of deep cleaning services to our client; including toilet deep cleaning, high level dusting and floor maintenance. Many of the tasks are scheduled within our normal working patterns to avoid disruption.
Investing in the best equipment available has also proven to be an advantage for us. We are use a variety of ride-on and pedestrian cleaning equipment and in the Trafford Centre we are currently trialling robot technology.
