Bank of China
In November 1929, The Bank of China opened the doors of its London office. This was the first branch of the Bank to be set up overseas and it was also the first overseas office opened by any Chinese bank. A truly historical landmark.
BOC were looking to partner with an organisation who could provide a high-quality value-added solution for their new headquarters. Number 1 Lothbury, consists of mainly large open plan offices, meeting suites and dealing floors. As well as a staff restaurant providing eastern and western cuisine, and a top floor VIP suite for showcasing the Banks memorabilia, arts and awards. The project spanned 110,000 square feet of partially occupied floors where cleaning was required throughout
In 2011 we were delighted to be appointed to provide the cleaning and support services for Bank of China’s new Headquarters at 1 Lothbury. The Bank were impressed by our meticulous attention to detail throughout the project, our innovative ideas as well as our expertise in cleaning similar buildings. We provide an agile solution tailored to the bank’s needs, combining an out of hours core clean supported by a day team throughout the core business hours. As the bank operates to an international time zone, cleaning of the offices is performed during the early hours of the morning, ensuring by 8am the building has been thoroughly cleaned and is ready for business.
Throughout the day our Housekeepers ensure all washroom facilities, public and client areas are always immaculate. The Housekeeping team work closely with facilities and carry out many ad hoc requests such as, preparing and clearing meeting rooms.
We also perform specialist support services for the Bank, and these include:
- Window and Façade Cleaning
- Washroom Hygiene Services
- Pest Control
- Specialist Marble and granite restoration
In 2019, we were invited to provide proposals for a further 3 years, in a benchmarking process that included 4 of our London based competitors. We were delighted to retain our relationship with the Bank of China, which now includes a further two London locations.
