Weekly Client Updates

COVID-19 update 13th May 2020

Peartree's 4-Phase plan for Covid-Secure workplaces

Phase One – Planning

Peartree is working collaboratively with our clients, supply partners and our in-house H&S experts to deliver the optimal pathway to Covid-Secure workplaces.

Phase Two – Pre-Occupation Cleaning

We can support you in determining the most effective way to ensure your workplace is hygienically clean and virus free at the point prior, to the return of your colleagues. This could be atomising with an anti-viral product or a full inch-by-inch deep; clean by hand.

Phase Three – The New Normal

We have replaced our standard cleaning products with a single anti-viral product. This is a completely new product to the market; is vegan, cruelty free and supports our aims in the reduction in single use plastic. We have purchased enhanced PPE for our day staff and can support your purchasing requirements for hand soap, alcohol sanitisers and paper towel products (all recommended in the Government’s working safely guidance).

Phase Four – Enhancing Cleaning Regimes

The Government recommends: Frequent cleaning of work areas and equipment between uses and frequent cleaning of objects and surfaces that are touched regularly. We can provide additional staff during the day both as physical evidence of cleaning and as re-assurance to your colleagues that you have enhanced the cleaning; to create your Covid-Secure workplace.

COVID-19 update 27th April 2020

The Peartree Board of Directors remain fully engaged in the business 24/7. If you have any questions, requirements or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email, text or the 360 Helpdesk. Peartree continues to operate at full strength and exists to serve you, deliver great cleaning and employ the best people.

Please find our latest key information:

Last week we had a number of discussions with clients regarding a phased return to work from the third week of May to early June. All of these **return to work plans** involve some form of strict **workplace distancing** and split shift patterns for client staff. We can accommodate a re-commencement of services within those timeframes. However, due to the rules around Furloughing our own staff we need at least 3 weeks’ notice; to have the staff available in the most cost effective solution for our clients. Furthermore, whilst clients will adopt A and B team strategies, we will need full teams in attendance to clean **all areas** that your staff may access and use such as reception, washrooms, kitchens, break-out hubs, meeting rooms, lifts and corridors.

At the point, you are considering returning to your offices, please contact us and we can discuss the best solution for your pre-occupation cleaning.

We are closely monitoring, and following Government advice and we will use this platform to update you.

COVID-19 update 30th March 2020

Please find our latest update on current service levels:

Around 50% of our clients have now closed their offices and we are retaining the assigned staff on Furloughed contracts. 20% are having a limited Hibernation service, with the remainder of clients in Key or Essential industries; and our cleaning teams continue to provide sanitising regimes to reduce the risk of germs, bacteria and viruses being transferred from hard surfaces.

Once again, we would like to thank you, for working with us, in these challenging times and we can assure you that we will be ready, when the lockdown protocols are revised.

COVID-19 update 24th March 2020

For 34 years, our mission has been to provide cleaning excellence to our client’s buildings and offices, and it remains an absolute privilege to work with the UK’s best companies. You can rest assured, that we will continue, and, whilst our management teams may not be as visible as before, Peartree will remain open for business, and while you need us.

Our full Board of Directors meet every day via Microsoft Teams to review your needs and our plans.

We know the coming days and weeks will be filled with uncertainty and we want to help support you and your organisation as best we can. We'll be exploring ways to offer and vary our service options. Currently, we are offering two solutions:

  1. Business as usual - for clients that need to keep their buildings open, fully staffed and cleaned.
  2. Hibernation Cleans - where the building is open with a small team of client staff and our cleaning team still attend and carry out thorough sanitising cleans. Cleaning keyboards and phones. Continue to descale washrooms; sinks and toilet bowls, run taps, remove unwanted food and waste, report any concerns back to you via our management team.

As from today and effective 1st April, we will offer a new solution:

Of course, we would urge you not to terminate our agreement as this will prevent us furloughing the staff and they will be without wages. In options 2 and 3 all other costs such as laundry services, window cleaning, and most waste charges will be suspended throughout a period of temporary closure.

Our management teams will contact you over the next few days to formally agree the best way forward. Any arrangement can be for a few days, weeks or months.

Peartree exists to serve you, deliver great cleaning and employ the best people. We will make that happen for many years to come.

Finally, and most importantly, we want to thank you, for your loyalty, custom and your choices, whatever they are in these unprecedented times.
