Peartree Ltd working through Merton College and with the support of Genzyme Ltd have put 10 of Peartree's staff through an NVQ level 2 examination to improve skills on the Genzyme site cleaning team.
In many cases these are the first qualifications individuals have completed since leaving school and everyone has risen to the challenge with great enthusiasm and stuck with the process throughout.Genzyme have helped to encourage this training both through implementing training requirements in the new cleaning contracts and by making meeting rooms available for assessment sessions. Genzyme Ltd have benefited from the process from the improved skills and knowledge of the cleaning team.
